Waitstaff
The Admin and Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible in implementing smooth administrative systems while managing purchasing processes for Vuda Project Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guest Service
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and a clean and inviting environment
Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly.
Take orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing IdealPos.
Upsell menu items and drinks in a professional and persuasive manner.
Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections.
Ensure timely and attentive service throughout the dining experience. Clear tables promptly and efficiently.
Address guest requests promptly and professionally
Maintain organised administrative systems and records
Prepare operational reports and cost tracking summaries
Assist with payroll support and staff documentation
Coordinate communications between departments
Support management with compliance and operational paperwork
Restaurant Operations:
Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant each day.
Maintain a clean and sanitized dining area, bar, and restrooms, adhering to all hygiene standards.
Replenish service items such as napkins, cutlery, and condiments.
Assist with cash handling and payment processing through IdealPos.
Other Duties:
May assist with food preparation tasks as needed.
Attend to phone calls and take reservations when required.
Participate in staff training and development programs.
Represent Vasaqa Fiji in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Provide support to the F&B department and contribute to other tasks as required by the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training in hospitality, food service, or customer service is an advantage.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment preferred
Experience handling POS systems, order taking, and table service is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.
Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving ability.
Ability to upsell menu items professionally.
