The Admin and Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible in implementing smooth administrative systems while managing purchasing processes for Vuda Project Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Guest Service

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and a clean and inviting environment

  • Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly.

  • Take orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing IdealPos.

  • Upsell menu items and drinks in a professional and persuasive manner.

  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections.

  • Ensure timely and attentive service throughout the dining experience. Clear tables promptly and efficiently.

  • Address guest requests promptly and professionally

  • Maintain organised administrative systems and records

  • Prepare operational reports and cost tracking summaries

  • Assist with payroll support and staff documentation

  • Coordinate communications between departments

  • Support management with compliance and operational paperwork

Restaurant Operations:

  • Assist with setting up and closing down the restaurant each day.

  • Maintain a clean and sanitized dining area, bar, and restrooms, adhering to all hygiene standards.

  • Replenish service items such as napkins, cutlery, and condiments.

  • Assist with cash handling and payment processing through IdealPos.

Other Duties:

  • May assist with food preparation tasks as needed.

  • Attend to phone calls and take reservations when required.

  • Participate in staff training and development programs.

  • Represent Vasaqa Fiji in a professional and positive manner at all times.

  • Provide support to the F&B department and contribute to other tasks as required by the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Formal training in hospitality, food service, or customer service is an advantage.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment preferred

  • Experience handling POS systems, order taking, and table service is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods.

  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to upsell menu items professionally.
